What one essential component does much of the health industry lack?

Compassion!

Most people I’ve talked to have experienced a doctor who breezes in and out of the exam room while barely looking up from their chart or laptop. While I don’t think all doctors are bad or even intend to make you feel unseen, compassion can be hard to squeeze into the short time they are allowed with patients.

Then we have the abundance of health influencers on social media. Many times their messaging can make you feel like you’re eating all the wrong things, not doing enough, and generally…stupid! With all of that in mind, maybe you’re left feeling hopeless and unclear on what direction to take to feel well again?

Yes?

Then it’s time for things to change! I believe you deserve a compassionate and invested health guide to help you clear the path to feeling well again. And that, my friend, is where I come in. First, some insight on why I feel called to help.

Compassion

The Diagnosis

Let’s jump right into it. In 2017 my husband was diagnosed with MS. His doctor’s sole advice, "Take this medication then come back when it stops working." So helpful, right? Our lives had been completely knocked off their rockers, and she basically shooed us out the door!

I was livid and felt deep down that other options existed. So I started looking, and man oh man was the huge expansive sea of health information overwhelming! We went back and forth trying different things, watching documentaries, reading books, and looking into other types of medicine. It was a scary time and a time when we often felt very alone and lost.

This might be where you are while reading this?

You kind of feel like you're in a tiny row boat in the sea during a huge storm? Well friend, I'm throwing you a rope right now. Because once my husband and I finally glimpsed that beautiful glow of hope, I vowed to find a way to help others reach that point quicker than we did. You deserve help, you deserve attention, and you deserve a knowledgeable friend.

So…

…picture me as the big ship who finds you during the storm, throws you a line, and then guides you to safer waters without making you feel silly for needing help. Now, maybe other people would be offended if you called them a big ship, but I embrace it. I want to be your big ship! And remember, it takes energy to feel bad and it takes energy to feel good. Let’s focus that energy on feeling good, yes?

Tough Love

Remember, if you don't change then nothing will change. That's especially true when it comes to your health. When deciding that a protocol isn’t working, please be honest with yourself about whether or not you are truly putting in the necessary effort. The reality of nutritional therapy is that it can’t work if you don’t work. Change is difficult but the good news is that you can ask for help.
